The Community Energy Cooperative (CE Coop) is more than a network of businesses—it’s a movement dedicated to creating a resilient and regenerative circular economy. Central to this vision is a unique partnership with a 40+ acre farmland, which will serve as a production and testing hub, and the use of local urban farms as impact farms for resource distribution and community engagement. Together, these elements create a living system that supports sustainable resource use, strengthens community resilience, and showcases the power of collaboration.
The 40+ acre farmland is the cornerstone of the CE Coop’s operations. This site functions as:
A Production Hub:
The farm will host large-scale regenerative agriculture, solar agrivoltaics systems, and four-season vertical greenhouses. These systems will produce food, water, and energy to supply the cooperative’s network, creating a self-sustaining cycle of resources.
A Testing Site for Innovation:
The farmland will serve as a research and development site, testing advanced circular economy technologies and methods. This includes solar-powered irrigation, AI-driven farming techniques, and scalable renewable energy systems.
A Host Site for Equipment and Gear:
The farmland will store and maintain portable infrastructure, including solar microgrids, mobile greenhouses, and other gear used to power the cooperative’s Community Solar Fairs at impact farms.
