Who We Are
The Circular Economy Cooperative (CE Co-op) is a member-driven organization designed to advance sustainable development and community resilience through the principles of the circular economy. By leveraging collaborative networks, renewable energy, and resource-sharing systems, the CE Co-op empowers communities and businesses to adopt closed-loop practices that minimize waste, optimize resource use, and enhance economic opportunities.
Our Founders are dedicated to the vision of communities where everyone's needs are met and we act in accordance with our stated Code of Conduct in our efforts to unite communities through building foundations of partnership, trust and sharing.

The CE Co-op connects members and communities to form a living network of sustainable practices. Here’s how we make it happen:
We organize pop-up events at urban impact farms and community spaces to showcase the circular economy in action. These fairs feature:
Solar-powered infrastructure energizing the event.
Cooperative members exhibiting their products, services, and innovations.
Interactive demonstrations that educate attendees on sustainability and resource efficiency.
2. Second Life Solar Initiative
We repurpose decommissioned solar panels to power BIPOC-owned land, brownfields, and agricultural systems, merging clean energy with sustainable agriculture:
Reducing waste - decommissioned solar panels, still 90% efficient, often end up in landfills.
Energizing Community Events: Generate power for on-site events, creating gathering spaces while reducing reliance on non-renewable energy sources.
Showcasing the Circular Economy: as a tangible example of sustainable practices, inspiring broader adoption of circular economy principles.

Our central production site serves as the heart of the cooperative. This hub integrates solar agrivoltaics, regenerative agriculture, and vertical greenhouses to:
Produce renewable energy, food, and materials.
Test and develop innovative circular economy technologies.
Train members in sustainable practices and renewable energy systems.

Urban farms within the cooperative act as distribution and engagement nodes. They:
Distribute food, water, and energy resources produced at the central hub.
Host community events and workshops to demonstrate circular economy practices.
Serve as resilience hubs during emergencies, ensuring access to vital resources.
The traditional linear economy has led to over-extraction of resources, environmental degradation, and social inequalities. By transitioning to a circular economy, we can build a better way forward, enhance the communities that we live in, offer opportunities and healthy outcomes to future generations and live in a way that uplifts ourselves, our families and the earth.
