Purpose
The Circular Economy Co-op exists to build a regenerative, just, and collaborative ecosystem rooted in cooperation, equity, and community care. This Code of Conduct is a collective agreement that guides how we engage with one another—with accountability, compassion, and truth.
We commit to treating every member, partner, and community member with dignity, respect, and kindness at all times.
We honor the lived experiences and cultural identities of all participants, especially those from historically marginalized backgrounds.
We listen actively, speak with intention, and hold space for multiple truths without judgment.
Personal stories, expressions of emotion, and moments of vulnerability are shared in trust and must never be used as weapons, tools of manipulation, or leverage.
We recognize the sacredness of vulnerability and commit to holding it with care and confidentiality.
Anyone who violates this agreement will be addressed through a transparent, restorative process.
We do not gossip, triangulate, or spread information that causes harm or division.
Concerns or conflicts must be brought directly to the person involved, or with the support of a trusted mediator if needed.
We commit to truthful, clear, and compassionate communication, even when it is difficult.
We value honest, timely, and respectful communication. All members commit to following up on responsibilities, questions, and concerns.
When agreements are made, we honor them or communicate changes proactively.
Silence, avoidance, or ghosting is not considered respectful conduct. Communication is a collective responsibility.
Mistakes are inevitable. What matters is how we take accountability, repair harm, and grow from it.
We agree to engage in conflict resolution that centers healing, learning, and restoring relationship—not punishment.
We are open to feedback and committed to building a co-op culture that is safe, inclusive, and evolving.
Everything we do reflects on what we’re building for future generations. Our relationships, values, and decisions must reflect a deep responsibility to the Earth and to the people who come after us.
We practice reciprocity, sustainability, and equity in our collaborations, projects, and care for one another.
This Code of Conduct is a living document. We revisit and revise it as needed, together. Each member is expected to uphold this agreement and call one another in—with grace—when we fall short.
Signed,
The Members and Partners of the Circular Economy Co-op
